Valnastium

Adolphus, filius Pretorius, Scholae Tremere.

Age in 1200 - 67

Familiar - Hermann, a large German Shephard dog.

Filii - Polia, sent to the Novgorod Tribunal.

Sigils - 2, his own and that of Polia.

Apprentice - Rudi, age 24, due to take his gauntlet just before the Tribunal of 1207. Under the impression that Imperatus has offered him a place in a Tremere Covenant in the Rome Tribunal.

Member of the Council of Four at Valnastium, which runs the Covenant. He is at Valnastium as a bridge between House Tremere and House Jerbiton. He was sent by the present Primus. He puts House Tremere's views over to Andru, and relays Jerbiton's views back to Coeris. His primary loyalty will always be to the house and the Primus. His knowledge of mundane politics is large and he has contacts in several courts in the Empire. Valnastium collects vast amounts of information on the mundane world, and the most important come before the Council of Four. Much of this is passed on to Coeris.

Adolphus is a confidant and stable person. He is, perhaps, more deferential to authority than is good, even in a Tremere. He is loyal to House, Primus and Covenant in that order.

To him, and to Valnastium, stability within the Tribunal is very important. Whilst there is chaos around the Tribunal, this area has to be a rock around which the chaos flows. The Tribunal is a safe haven for "reasonable" magi, a repository for knowledge and an example to others. Any areas of chaos within the Tribunal should be limited. As of 1205 this means: a) Shoring up the Bonisagus magi at Lac Neuchatel and making sure that Aristophus guides them in the right way; b) Directing the energies (and preferably bodies) of the High Valley magi outside the Tribunal and c) Making sure that no volatile elements gain control at Spear Peak.

Protanus, filius Lexius, scholae Guernicus

Sigil - Eyes become dark pools which seem to suck in light.

Apprentice - Yorath, 12 years old. Serious and studious. Frightened of most intimidating magi, guarded with those who seem friendly. Interested in the use of men as tools over men and with a magus' search for fertility. A thin boy with good quality clothes, shaved head and large eyes.

Domineering and proud. Dislikes disorder in his tribunal. Physically he is a tall gaunt man with long straight black hair, swept back from a receding hairline. He has almost claw-like hands, used in talon-like gesturing in all he does.

Entourage - Usually accompanied by four mounted sergeants, all stable and mature members of the turb. Also the consors Protanus calls "Guile", although his names appear legion, a different name in each town he visits. Guile is a slim, charming or invisible figure who knows how to get people to talk and knows what to listen for.

Alexander, filius Perseus, scholae Verditius

An expert in making magical furniture with the help of various mundane craftsmen. In the early 1190's Valnastium had a short war with the local Dark Faeries (see WGRE p32). During this he found several trees in the forest which had interesting properties, and he has been harvesting them since. As such he is constantly battling the Fay, many of whom now attack any magus, however he has been keen not to leave witnesses to prove his guilt. He generally think of Faeries as a resource for wood and vis, not as real people. He cannot understand Merinita magi and has little respect for them.

His items include an Iron Ring containing a permanent Lvl30 Ward Against the Faeries of the Forest, and some Dust of Plant's Withering Bane.

Is interested in the Throne of Pilote, a legendary item apparently kept at Spear Peak Covenant.

Presented his filius Harnicus to the Tribunal meeting of 1200. He then left for Novgorod.

More recently he has taken on Edmund as an apprentice. See Timeline 1205 (when available) for details.
